At the beginning of 2012, at least three of my web projects related to geolocation i.e. the geographical location of the user who browses a website. There was a new Geolocation API specification by W3C and many browsers began to support it. I wanted to play with the API a little before applying it to the bigger projects, so I built a demo app named CurLo, your current location. The app applies Google Maps JavaScript API and the Geolocation API.
Update: CurLo was hosted at curlo.akselipalen.com for many years. In autumn 2020, I had to either update it or take it down and I opted in for the latter. Maintaining old projects is not fun if you have too many of them.
